Share Your Story - The Kick-off

For a couple of weeks now I have been hinting at a new blog series that I am beginning called Share Your Story.  A blog series is a new a different thing for me, I have never done anything like this before so I'm excited to jump right in and begin on this journey.  So how exactly did this start and what is it all about?  So glad you asked.  The thought behind Share Your Story is something that has been brewing in my mind for a long time now, it just took a while for it to take shape and for the right timing to come around.  The thought behind this series is to provide a place for young women to share how and when God has worked in their lives as a way to encourage other women in their faith.  Personal testimonies, stories and victories create huge impacts in our journey of life and can help to strengthen and encourage another one's faith.  God has brought us together to lift each other up, pray for one another, spur each other on and encourage each other in Christ's love and we can learn so much from another one's story.  I want this blog to be a space for all of those things to take place.  A place where one who is struggling seeing God move to come and find a word of encouragement and strength.  A place where one can come and find peace and comfort from others who have been in their shoes.  A place where one can find others to stand by and build up.  A place for others to seek counsel and prayer.  A place to find hope and knowledge of Christ's love for his children.   A place to Share Your Story.

I have been so thankful, overwhelmed and encouraged by the young women who have excitedly committed to sharing on this blog.  A lot of the stories will be from  high school students, a lot from College students.  a lot from young women and a lot from awesome moms.  I think no matter what your age is, if you are a woman, you can relate.  I can't wait for you to start meeting these awesome women.

I know a series is usually a short type of thing - something that lasts a few weeks and ends - but my prayer is that this turns into something more.  Something ongoing and lasting.  As far as I'm concerned, this is all in God's hands.  If it lasts a month -it lasts a month, if it lasts a year, - it lasts a year, as long as I have stories coming in, we will keep sharing.

So starting next Wednesday we will have our first story and then each Wednesday after a new story will be shared.  I have created a Share Your Story page so you can quickly get to all the posts and a button for you to share on your own site, if you want to spread the word.

If you are reading this and thinking you would like to be involved and would like to Share Your Story - send me an email!  I'd love to talk to you!!

I'm so excited to get started - to start hearing how God is moving in His church and amongst His people and to see where this whole thing leads.  I'm just praying for God's truth to be known.

Therefore encourage one another and build one another up, just as you are doing.  1 Thessalonians 5:11

And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near.  Hebrews 10:24-25

  4. I would love to share my story with you and your readers. It's always encouraging for others that they see where you've been and where you're going. How you've gone from broken to whole. From lost to found.

Let me know how I can help!
